Meet Dr. Porterfield
After completing my doctorate in 1985, I worked as a full-time psychologist in a large residential treatment center, and part-time in a group private practice. I was promoted to director of research and program evaluation for the entire youth services agency. In 1990, I was recruited to Delaware to work halftime in an inpatient setting, and halftime in a group private practice. I specialized in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In 1995, I started my own private practice, again specializing in ADHD.
I've learned to cope with my own ADHD, and I know from personal experience what it is like to raise a child with ADHD.
For years, I have endeavored to provide the best possible services for people with ADHD. Through extensive research, I have discovered a breakthrough nonmedication intervention to help people with ADHD. I am now pleased to offer Cogmed Working Memory Training program through my practice.
